FTG

ESIA Foreign Trade Group

Semiconductor products are the result of a complex manufacturing process, so that during this process a semiconductor product usually travels across the globe at least twice before being delivered to its final customer.

Semiconductor companies are therefore global players operating on the international markets.

The ESIA Foreign Trade Group (FTG Group) is a permanent committee created to facilitate cooperation of the ESIA members and to represent proactively foreign trade related issues of European semiconductor industry at both European and global level.

In Europe, the FTG monitors and acts as a trusted party to European authorities, the World Customs Organisation (WCO) and World Trade Organisation (WTO); in international forum the FTG supports EECA-ESIA activities in trade related issues (e.g. World Semiconductor Council).

Members of this group are representatives of all member companies and national member associations, who nominate delegates into this committee.

FTG Working Groups

The FTG is organized in three working groups, to ensure flexibility, rapid reaction and effectiveness.
